The Arc Foundation's Assistive Technology Award is designed to enable families to purchase equipment which will optimize their child's learning capabilities. The award may cover private insurance deductibles, non-covered portions from all other public or private funding sources or the outright cost of the equipment. The Arc Foundation's Selection committee may direct applicants to an appropriate funding stream in lieu of an award.
Only students who are classified as developmentally disabled and enrolled in special education support from a school will be eligible to receive funding from the Assistive Technology Award program. Only counties served by Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana are currently available to receive assistance (See brochure).
