I wanted to make you all aware of a website that is very helpful to families dealing with Learning Disabilities.  It is the National Center for Learning Disabilities in New York, NY.  The main website is www.LD.org .  One document that a family recently used in one of the case conferences I attended was a Checklist on Learning Disabilities.  The website for it is the second one listed below.

"Keep in mind that LD is a term that describes a heterogeneous (mixed bag) group of disorders that impact listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning, math and social skills.  The checklist is designed as a helpful guide and not as a tool to pinpoint specific learning disabilities."
